Between each event I upgraded the Mustang further. I replaced the stock manifold with an Edelbrock Performer RPM manifold (#7121) and matched it to an Edelbrock 600 cfm carb. The inner front fender had been corroded by battery acid over the years so I installed a new inner fender and mounted a spill-proof Optima Red Top battery.
